Sluggers Elite Fastpitch, is an organization based out of Smithtown, NY which was developed to train youth players in competitive Softball. The program is led by Sean Singh, Director of Player Development and Peter Russo, Director of Player Management.
Sean Singh has coached and trained players at the National, Regional and Local level for over 20 years. Coach Sean is currently a trainer at the LI Fieldhouse facility in Hauppauge, NY, and was an Assistant Varsity Softball Coach with Smithtown High School West, where he helped fine tune the players batting and fielding fundamentals. Furthermore, in 2022 he along with Peter Russo led the St. James-Smithtown Little League to their very first NYS Championship in program history.
Peter Russo has been coaching softball for the past 8 years at the State and Local level. Peter has been an Assistant Coach, Head Coach, and Manager within the Sluggers Elite Fastpitch organization for the past 4 years with a proven record of success. Over the past 5 years, he has coached 3 teams to NY State Little League appearances, winning a NY State Championship in 2022. He is currently the Vice president of Softball for St. James-Smithtown Little League and runs a yearly softball developmental program for ages 5 - 12.
In the past few years, we have changed our outlook on travel softball. We firmly believe too many teams focus on wins and losses at a young age which is counterproductive to player development. Instead, we are refocusing our efforts on building player confidence, character and leadership, while instilling the proper softball fundamentals needed to compete at the High School and/or College softball level.
